Calla Lily is another term for Zantedeschia. It is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants that belongs to the Araceae family and is generally indigenous to South Africa to Malawi.
The term of the genus was offered as praise to an Italian botanist known as Giovanni Zantedeschi.
The Calla Lily or Zantedeschia is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant that grows from 1-2.5 meters tall with leaves 15-45 cm long. This species inflorescence is a glitzy white, yellow or pink spathe shaped similar to a funnel with a yellow, central, finger-like spadix.
